August Concert in the park
August 25 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm MDT
Friday, August 25th, Campfire Concert in the Canyon, 6pm-9pm.
Educational Speaker @ 6:15pm: SUU Professor Dr. Jacqualine Grant will speak about native plants and the restoration work after the Brian Head Fire.
Great Horned Owl Release @ 7pm: our Director of Wildlife Services, Martin Tyner, will teach a little about a great horned owl that has been rescued and rehabilitated and it will be released right before the music starts.
Music: Ethan Saphire will be our first performer and will perform for an hour. Following Ethan, Kimberly Baldwin will sing for another half hour. Both are local musician’s and song writers and we are excited to have them.
Food Vendor, Dutch Oven Delights will be serving food in our parking area. There will be free s’mores at the campfire and free face painting for kids throughout the event. Sign up for our Saturday 5K and donate at the Southwest Wildlife Foundation booth.
Cedar Canyon Nature Park Directions:
Go East on Center Street/Hwy 14 in Cedar City up the canyon for about 1.5miles. Our parking area is on your right hand side next to our fenced rehab yard just before you reach Rusty’s Steak House. Follow the trail head down to our green memorial bridge, cross coal creek and you will see the Information Destination in front of you and the campfire area to your left.
