Golden Eagle Rescued from Roadside

Wearing the GoPro donated to the Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah, Martin went off in search of a Golden Eagle reported injured near old highway 91. After a short drive following directions from the person who saw the eagle, Martin headed out on foot with his net.

Along the side of the highway, near a juniper tree, Martin saw the Golden Eagle. After a brief chase, he netted the eagle and headed back the car to take her back to the rescue center.

After an exam which revealed no broken bones, Martin took the eagle to a chamber and gave her a good meal. She is still doing well, hopefully soon to be released back the wild where she belongs!
